Pattern Blending Perfection!! This retro room shows you the perfect way to blend prints together and make it work. Start with a large scale print, here we used a modern floral then blend in geometric prints, small & medium scale patterns. Color is what pulls it all together, notice the gray neutral sectional and textured rug act as a great ground for all of the fun pillows. The subtle art brings in more texture, the greens in the room really pull the outdoors in and make it all work! If this appeals to you, but your still not quite sure how to pull it all together let DeFINE Design help!
Yellow has been trending for the last few seasons, in spring it was very vibrant and this winter more of a curry tone. Some say it’s the new neutral in the Design and Fashion industry. This unique space is a perfect example of how to think outside of the box, the bold black trim against crisp white walls, with a dash of a geometric yellow print wallpaper combined with the stylish furniture pieces make a statement! We get that you may not want this much yellow in your room, try changing out some pillows or accessories to add that pop and reinvent your space!
This was a creative way to give the clients a library and add architectural interest too a not so interesting space. The staircase gives them access to pick their favorite book and then cozy up by the hidden fireplace under the stairs. The high ceiling and natural light from the large windows in the space made this the perfect space for this application!
The concept is simple, select two main colors, but the result is bold, blue & beautiful! This blue and white living room in the heart of the city makes a statement! The window treatment in a schumacher fabric was the starting point for this beautiful space. The sleek clean lined timeless chairs in blue velvet with a hounds tooth print accent pillow offer a perfect spot to visit. The dash of zebra on the ottoman with it’s chrome legs brings a bit of fun to the space and gives it a modern flair. A simple drum shade light fixture , gold star burst mirror and the white accessories add to the style. The mahogany antique table brings warmth into the space. Bold, Blue, and Beautiful!!!
JSG Designer Show House at the Schomp mansion. This office was designed for a young contemporary man living in a historic home. Blending the traditional architecture of the home with modern pieces was exciting and created a space that is great to work in and attractive to look at. We played with high gloss paint on the walls and ceiling to reflect light and give it a more contemporary vibe, the color pulls in other elements of the house while enhancing the art work. Sleek Italian pieces of furniture were selected to add seating for meetings, the desk is a piece of sculpture all on it’s own while adding a functional work surface.
